SOONETS JEWELRY is a business dedicated to manufacturing and commercialization of hand-made jewelry, with exclusive designs, noble metals, semi-precious gems and Swarovski crystals, which begun in Dominican Republic in 2006.
Celia Soonets is Social Psychologist and bachelor in Art. She was born in Argentina, was raised in Venezuela, and 12 years living in Dominican Republic. Born to an Estonian father and Argentinean mother, the diversity of origins and environments in which she has lived has influenced her style and has inspired the variety of her collections.
Thus, she presents some collections that show the beauty of gems from Dominican Republic, as the Larimar, Amber and Black Coral collections, which live in harmony with other collections like, Viking Heritage which remembrance her ancestors, with interesting chains inspired in the Viking culture. At the same time, we have collections like Crochet, in which she shows her passion for handcrafts and knitting, which has accompanied her since childhood, through the teachings of her mother.
Alter 18 years dedicated to market research, concentrated in an intensive professional activity linked with her second studies, Social Psychology, Celia decides to rescue artistic values that early in life motivated her to obtain a bachelor in Arts, but that had been quietly sleeping.
Since childhood, she enjoyed drawing and designing enthusiastically, and even wanted to develop her professional life in that direction. Life, with its unexpected events, led her to passionately embrace a totally different World, a World full of statistics, sophisticated consumer analyses and consulting in marketing and market research. As years went by, artistic interests began to push through again and in 2006 Celia decides to open to new adventure and does a course in Jewelry design in the School of design in Altos de Chavón, in La Romana, Dominican Republic. This experience begins a new phase in her professional life, and results in the jewelry collection that she now offers us.
